There is a hole on the control panel of my cooker. It looks as if an LED is missing, or a part has fallen out.

Issue:
Does your cooker have a gas oven? If so then this hole is meant to be in the control panel. It provides access for an engineer to control and regulate the mixture of gas and air flow for the gas oven.
Advice:
...

My electric oven has stopped working. I think it may have blown/cut out.

Issue:
Each electric oven is equipped with a safety thermostat. If this is tripped, the oven will be isolated and power will be cut off from that oven. The safety thermostat can be reset by you – on more recent models a small button is located to the rear of the oven accessible via the hob mounted rear oven vents. With the oven turned off remove the oven vent above the oven that is not working. Unscrew the black cap and then press the red button to reset. Refit the black cap and oven vent. Turn the power back onto the cooker and turn the oven on. On earlier models the button may be located in different places. Please ring for information as to where, and how to access it.
Advice:
If the oven does not work please contact the service department.
We add more information as we learn so if you can't find what you need please ask in the Repair forums. Alternatively you can book a repair online or call us on 0208 226 3633 to arrange an engineer visit. We offer fixed price Lacanche Range Cooker Repairs in London.

One of my burners is not lighting properly.

Issue:
Check it is clean by dissembling and cleaning the brass burner cap and cap stand.
Advice:
If problem persists please contact us.

When I turn my gas hobs down, the flame extinguishes with a squeaky pop.

Issue:
When decreasing or increasing the power of the burners, push the control knob in and turn slowly, holding it at the required level briefly (one or two seconds) before releasing slowly. This is particularly recommended with cookers running off LPG (bottles gas).
Advice:

My oven door is not closing properly. I do not think it is the door seals.

Issue:
It could be that there is a problem with the hinge mechanism of your oven door.
Advice:
We add more information as we learn so if you can't find what you need please ask in the Repair forums. Alternatively you can book a repair online or call us on 0208 226 3633 to arrange an engineer visit. We offer fixed price Lacanche Range Cooker Repairs in London.

One of my control knobs is loose/comes off easily.

Issue:
The control knobs are designed to come off, but they should be stiff and not come off easily. It is easily rectified by inserting a new spring clip using a pair of pliers.
Advice:
Contact Lacanche Service Department (Tel: 01202733011 Option 3) to purchase a new spring clip and for instructions.

The door seals need replacing.

Issue:
Contact Lacanche Service Department (Tel: 01202733011 Option 3) for a new door seal, which simply clips on in place of the old one.
Advice:

My control knobs get hot

Issue:
Have you checked that your oven door is closing properly and that the seals are working correctly? Is your cooker correctly installed? It may be that better air circulation is required around your cooker to allow for correct ventilation. The insertion of a backstrip may help.
Advice:

There is a deterioration of the enamel around the end of the towel rails.

Is
This has almost certainly been caused by mishandling i.e. someone trying to lift or move the cooker using the towel rail.
Advice:

My gas oven is too hot, and I am burning my food ( Gas Ovens Prior to May 2015)

Issue:
Lacanche/Moderne gas ovens are hot ovens. Their temperature range starts at 150⁰C and runs up to almost 300⁰C. They are therefore unsuitable for cooking at lower temperatures. (The electric ovens offer a wider temperature range). It is important that you preheat the oven to the required temperature (10 minutes); failing to do so and placing food in a cold oven may result in burning/over cooking, as the oven is burning hard initially in order to get up to the set temperature. The gas oven is heated by a powerful base burner running into the centre of the oven cavity; try placing the food higher in the oven cavity and remember to turn your food during cooking. If you suspect that the oven is burning at greater than 150⁰C on gas mark one, it may be worth checking it using an oven thermometer. Remember to put the thermometer into the gas oven after 10 minute warm up time. If the problem persists it may be a commissioning error
Advice:

L

My induction hobs is not working and there is an L symbol in the display.

Issue:
The induction hob is in the locked position. To unlock, turn the control knob of the effected hob anti-clockwise to the 11 o’clock position and hold for 10 seconds or until the A symbol appears on the display.

Candy Grando Washing Machine Series Error codes

These error code explanations can help you diagnose a problem with your Candy Grando Washing Machine Series.

The error codes are displayed through the simultaneous flashing of the FIRST LED of the Chronovision series and of the LED of the FIRST OPTION BUTTON together.

The time for the displaying of each code, is 15 seconds. During this period of time, both LEDs flash together at the frequency of 1 Hz (one flash per second), for a number of times corresponding to the number of the error to be displayed. Then, they stay OFF for all the time that's missing to the end of the period of 15 seconds. The sequence is repeated until service intervention or until the machine is switched OFF.

Please also note that many of the codes highlight that wiring faults can cause the error being reported, this can include faulty or dirty connections as well as physical wiring damage or loose connection blocks etc.

Issue:
  • Water intake timeout
  • Faulty Aquastop fill hose
  • Water tap closed
  • Filters blocked

We add more information as we learn so if you can't find what you need please ask in the Repair forums. Alternatively you can book a repair online or call us on 0208 226 3633 to arrange an engineer visit. We offer fixed price Bosch Washing machine Repairs in London.
