Please do take care to read the information thoroughly as it is there to help you understand fault codes and to keep you safe. There are also some help, tips and hints with a lot of the fault codes published here that you usually will not find anywhere else and, as we learn, we add more information so if you can't find what you need please ask in the forums.

Before using this section please understand that fault or error codes are used as a diagnostic aid, they are not a replacement for diagnostic skill on the part of the person repairing the product and are not in any way usually going to point to the precise component that is faulty. All they do is give you an idea of where to start looking for the fault.

Whirlpool American Fridge Freezer Fault Codes

Code 01

Check water dispenser

Issue:
Water dispenser not working - Check the water fill valve connections then the water valve itself and if both are okay it's probably the main control board that's at fault.

Code 02

Check damper and triac for damper

Issue:
Air damper stuck or doesn't connect - The air damper is a motorised baffle unit that allows cold air to be drawn from the freezer into the fridge. It will either be this one or look very similar but there are a few of these used across the range of Whirlpool US fridge freezers so it may be worth checking with the 12NC number to make sure you get the correct one. If the connections are okay and the damper tests fine it will likely be the main control board that is faulty.

Fault Code 1

Door open after program has been started

Issue:
This error code may well not show up for a minute or so after you actually go to start the washing machine but the door can be closed and the program restarted.

Fault Code 2

Water intake has failed

Issue:
Error after more than 10 minutes. Generally speaking this will be a failure of the water inlet valve or the water supply itself has been cut off somehow. This can be due to the water valve or supply as stated but it may also be worth checking the filters in the fill valves to ensure that they are clear.
Advice:
We add more information as we learn so if you can't find what you need please ask in the Repair forums. Alternatively you can book a repair online or call us on 0208 226 3633 to arrange an engineer visit. We offer fixed price Siemens Washing Machine Repairs in London.

Fault Code 3

Fault Code 5

Fault detected in motor or drive circuit

Issue:
Very often you will see this error if the carbon brushes or the motor fails. This error code can be generated by no tacho reading from the motor (the electronics cannot see the tach generator of the motor), a triac fault or short circuit or a faulty reversing relay on the control board. The washing machine will try to start the motor but after several attempts the program will be aborted with this error code which is again consider to be a "fatal error"

Advice:

The oven, grill or hotplate will not light.

Issue:
If you cannot hear any sparking or the sparking is slow when youpress the ignition button it may not be enough to light the cooker. You will probably need to replace the battery. You can light the burners with a match until you have time to change the battery. Check that there is not a problem with your gas supply. You can dothis by making sure that other gas appliances such as your central heating or gas fire are working. If only the hotplate burners will not light, make sure that the burnerparts have been replaced properly.

Why Is The Oven Not Coming On?

Issue:
Check that there is power going into the cooker by seeing if the oven light is coming on. Then check if the clock is illuminated. If the clock is flashing 'auto' or is not illuminated this will be the reason why the oven is not coming on. Refer to your User Guide for instructions on how to re-set the clock on your model. If there is no power to the clock but there is power to other areas of the appliance (the top of the cooker and oven light should be working) there may be a fault with the clock.
Advice:

Advice:

Flame on main hob of range master 110 is yellow and smelly also black sooty deposit left on jets

Issue:
Ream out all the orifices and air venturi holes on the burner, adjust the air-shutter, the air-shutter is usually nearer the valve/knob than to the burner. Yellow flame is an imbalance of fuel to oxygen and is creating Carbon Monoxide and not burning cleanly... this is the same problem that can make a furnace deadly. Blue flame = neutral flame.
Advice:

Rangemaster 110 main oven does not work

That looks like a problem with the control panel assembly. Try first unplugging power cord for ten minutes, then plug back. Press the selector wheel for 5 seconds and see if this reset it. If that does not work , then you need to replace the control assembly.

Stop gas burner on rangemaster from cutting out

Issue:
Try removing the burners and soaking in hot soapy water. If this doesnt work, an old trick is to burn the dirt out. Put the burner in the oven and bake it. The heat will soften any dirt and then washing the burner in hot soapy water usually removes the build up. Try poking a needle into the holes to clear them.
Advice:

The hot warning light on my rangemaster110 warming plate has stopped working but the warming plate still works fine

Issue:

When placing foods in the fridge rst pat them with a dry cloth to remove excess moisture. Check the door gaskets and reduce door openings. Possibly raise fresh food temperature.

Wet air forms droplets of water on the outside edges of the fridge.

Advice:
Reposition the shelves, door bins, or internal containers to allow the door to close. Ensure the oor is level using sturdy materials that are also non ammable. Provide a good 25 mm (1”) clearance on all 3 sides and on top of the cabinet so doors can open and close freely. Adjust hinges and add spacer clips supplied.

Raise up the compartment temperatures slightly and allow 24 hours to reach new balance. Clean o the gaskets and/or heat slightly with hair dryer so gasket takes contour of metal frame. Clean the condenser

The compressor frequently cycles on and off.

Issue:
