Depending on the model, locate the washer dryer sensor within the ducting area. Occasionally the electrical wires leading to the sensor may be damaged due to being worn or excess tension. Check the dryer sensor resistance using a multimeter. You’re looking for an average reading between 10,000 - 20,000 ohms.

Hoover Washing Machine Error Code E16 - If your washing machine is showing a E16 error on the digital display or the power light flashes sixteen times before pausing and repeating, it’s likely the machine is having a problem with the water heater.

Check the heater element using a multimeter. The average reading is between 20 and 30 ohms - If there is zero reading or it tests excessively high then the element will be faulty and require replacing.

Hotplate ignition or cooktop burners faulty

Issue:

Is the power on? Are the sparker (ignition electrode) or burner holes blocked by debris? Are the burner heads correctly located? See the section entitled ‘Cleaning’.

Advice:

Remember that each cooktop burner has a special safety device that stops the flow of gas if the flame goes out. When lighting a cooktop burner the safety device has to be overridden by holding in the control knob so that the gas can flow. This allows the flame sensor to heat up and operate the safety device. Keep holding the knob pressed in to let the gas through to the burner for few seconds. The igniter should spark and light the gas. If, when you let go of the control knob, the burner goes out, the safety device has not held in. Turn the control to the off position and wait one minute, then try again this time holding in the control knob for slightly longer.
