Before using this section please understand that fault or error codes are used as a diagnostic aid, they are not a replacement for diagnostic skill on the part of the person repairing the product and are not in any way usually going to point to the precise component that is faulty. All they do is give you an idea of where to start looking for the fault.

An IE error code indicates that the level of water in the unit did not get high enough after 10 minutes of filling. To resolve this error, please check the following:
Make sure the water supply valve has been turned on.
Inspect the water line for kinks or bends that may be prevent proper filling.
Check the leveling of your dishwasher as improper leveling may cause IE.
Water pressure must be between 20 - 120 PSI. If this is too low, contact a plumber to correct the issue.
If your drain hose outlet is installed lower than the base of your dishwasher, it is possible that this could cause premature draining.
The height of the drain hose end must be over 10 inches from the bottom of the dishwasher to avoid water being siphoned from the tub. In this case, reinstall it according to the instructions in the owner's manual. You can download a copy from our Manuals and Documents
If your dishwasher is installed in a location where parts of it could be exposed to temperatures below freezing, it is possible for parts of the dishwasher to freeze. Melt the frozen parts by soaking a towel in warm water and wrapping it around the frozen area. Once the frozen area has thawed the dishwasher should be able to operate.
If you perform all the above steps and the the IE error code persist, the unit will require a repair service.

Turn the circuit breaker to the dishwasher OFF and wait 10 seconds.
Turn the circuit breaker to the dishwasher back ON.

AE or E1 error code means that there could be a leak in the unit. Often times these leaks are a result of improper installation, detergent usage or improper loading.
If your drain hose outlet is installed lower than the base of your dishwasher, it is possible that this could cause premature draining. This can result in an E1 error. The height of the drain hose end must be over 10 inches from the bottom of the dishwasher to avoid water being siphoned from the tub. Also, check your drain hose for cracks or other damage that may cause leaking.
If there is water leaking from the door of your dishwasher, check for any damage around the door. If there is any damage to the door seal, it will need to be replaced.
If you are using a detergent that is not intended for automatic dishwashers, it is possible that your dishwasher may have filled suds. When this happens, the dishwasher will not be able to wash or rinse properly, and the E1 code will appear. Use only detergents that are intended for use in automatic dishwashers.
Large pots, pans, or bowls that are positioned so that they are retaining the water that fills the dishwasher may cause the unit to think that there is a leak. Be sure that all dishes loaded inside the dishwasher are loaded in the racks correctly so they do not retain water.
A 2H is only an indicator of the estimated time remaining for the cycle, this is NOT an error code and does NOT require a repair service.

A tE2 error code on the display of the dryer indicates a problem was detected with the dryer's thermistor, normally during cold conditions. The extra humidity in the dryer's vent during the SteamFresh™, Steam Sanitary™, or Steam Option cycles cause the duct to cool down faster, resulting in the dryer displaying the tE2 error.
If the tE2 error code is showing on the dryer's display during the SteamFresh™, SteamSanitary™, or the Steam option:
Power the dryer ON.
Select the SteamFresh™ cycle.
Press the MORE TIME button until big is shown in the display.

An Add Water error reading on the dryer's display indicates that there is a water supply error.
Before using a steam cycle, the steam feeder must be filled with water up to the MAX indicator lines. Check the steam feeder to be sure that it is full of water and that the drawer is completely closed.
If the Add Water reading appears on the dryer's display after a cycle has started:
Press PAUSE to temporarily stop the running cycle.
Fill the steam feeder with tap water to the MAX fill line.
Power the unit off and back on again, select the STEAM cycle, and press the START/PAUSE button to finish the cycle.
Check filter is not an error, it was designed to serve as a reminder to clean the lint filter before each use to ensure great drying every time.
The indicator turns off when you turn the cycle knob to select a drying program or when the START/PAUSE button is pressed.
A CL code or CHILD LOCK reading on the dryer's display is not actually an error code, but rather an indication that the Child Lock feature is active.
For most models, press and hold the key labeled CHILD LOCK for 3 seconds to disable the Child Lock feature.
This is normal. The machine runs a dry portion and cooling portion of the cycle. The cooling portion of the cycle does not begin until the last 5 minutes of the cycle.
FlowSense™ is a feature on some LG model dryers which uses existing components in dryers to calculate the amount of restriction in the drying system.
This display is not an error code and does not indicate that there is a problem with the dryer. When activated, wrinkle care functions at the end of the drying cycle and will continue to tumble the dryer drum to prevent wrinkles.
The drum will rotate for 10 seconds and then off for 6 minutes. It will run for up to 3 hours. If the door is opened during this time, the Wrinkle Care option will turn off.
If you need to reset the Control Panel
Power the dryer OFF and unplug it from the electrical outlet (You can also trip the circuit breaker if that's easier).
Press and hold the START/PAUSE key for 5 seconds while the unit is without power.
Turn the breaker back on, and power on the unit.
This error indicates an irregular mains supply current has been supplied. It can be cleared by running the dryer for a complete cycle once more.
On later models the same code can be used to indicate a short circuit on the heating element.
This fault code can mean that the drive belt is faulty but also that there is a problem with the microswitch at the motor housing.
