Troubleshoot Your AEG Dishwasher Faults with Ease
Learn What Each AEG Error Code Means
Common AEG Dishwasher Faults

The AEG brand has been a reliable name in dishwashers for over a century. Though the appliances are made to last, wear and tear can mean that some common faults arise. That’s why it’s important to know what each AEG error code means so that you can troubleshoot any issues and get your dishwasher back up and running. With this guide, you can quickly identify the fault codes and get an idea of how to proceed with a repair.

“A” error codes
An AL5 error code shows a problem with the water inlet.
AL6 signals that the dishwasher is not draining the water properly.

“C” error codes
If you see a C1 error code, this is an indication of a problem with the water inlet.
A C2 error code signals that the dishwasher is not draining the water properly.

“E” error codes
An E1 error code signals that the tap is not open, the water intake is restricted or the water pressure is too low.

If you see an E2 or E3 error, you need to contact an authorised appliance repair service provider.
An E4 error code means that there is an issue with the drain system and that you need to cancel the previous cycle. In some cases, either a leak has been detected or water is collecting at the bottom of the appliance.

“F” error codes
An F1 error code indicates a problem with the water inlet.
F2 signals that the dishwasher isn’t draining water properly.

“i” error codes
An i10 and i11 error code signal problems with the water inlet. Here, you need to check the water supply by placing a bucket underneath it and turn it open completely. If you get 10 litres of water within a minute, then it should be fine. However, you should also check the supply and drain hose and remove any bends, in case there are such.

i20 indicates that your dishwasher is not draining the water inside it correctly. Here, you should check if the drain is clogged. If so, it would be a good idea to clean it. The same goes for the filter system. You should also check the drain hose and remove any bends from it. If the error code still appears, you should clean all your filters. This could be one of the reasons why your AEG Favorit dishwasher is not draining.

If you see an i30 error code or an AEG Favorit dishwasher error code 30/AEG dishwasher error code 30, you are dealing with constant draining or leaking issues. Alternatively, leak protection is enabled. This may mean that you will need to check if your dishwasher has been correctly installed.

With an i40, i43 or i44 error code, it means that your filter is not clean. With this error, you will need to clean the filters and then turn the dishwasher on again afterwards.

Each of the following codes indicate that your dishwasher needs resetting: i50, i51, i52, i53, i54, i55, i56,

i57, i58, i59, i5A, i5B, i5C, i5D, i5E, i5F, iC0, iCo, iC1, iC2 and iC3. With these errors, consider switching off your dishwasher and then switching it back on again to reset it and see if that will stop your AEG Favorit dishwasher from beeping.

With iF0, iFo or iF1 error code, your dishwasher needs to be reset and your water supply needs to be checked. Here, you’ll need to turn off the dishwasher and check and clean the filters. It’s also important to check your water supply and drain hoses and ensure they are installed properly.
