How to access fans to test

We have a KAN90V120 fridge freezer, 1 year out of warranty and the fridge and freezer are only cold at the bottom.
I asume the fan or fans that distribute the cold air have failed.
Whats the procedure to examine the fans?
I very practicle and qualified in electrics
