Replace main fan oven element

I am trying to replace the main fan oven element, I have removed the side racks and catalytic walls and unscrewed the screws holding the cover plate for the element. I am having problems removing the cover plate, there are two luggs which hold the side racks in place preventing me from removing the cover. Can you assist with this please
