All range cookers need a regular service to ensure you are getting maximum benefit from the cooker. Each model of cooker has its own recommendations on when a service should be carried out, we recommend the following service interval, depending on model:
- Gas-fired range cookers - Annual service
- Oil-fired range cookers - 6 months or yearly service
- Solid fuel range cookers - Flues to be cleaned regularly (by others)
- Monthly sweeping of flueways (by client) - Annual service
- Electric 30 amp - Annual electrical and operation check
- Electric 13 amp - Annual electrical and operation check
The Health & Safety Check will include the following:
- Gas and/or electric installation check
- Cooker height & door alignment
- Electric earth continuity & resistance check
- General fault finding
- Test safety devices
- Room ventilation checks
